New years usually come with mixed feelings for everyone of us. For some, its feelings of excitement towards their accomplishments in the past year and this can generate for them renewed energy, hope and the possibility of future accomplishments as the year goes by.
For some, its feelings of sadness towards unfulfilled dreams and goals which in turn can generate fears of failing again in the new year.
The year 2025 may have stretched or drained you. Possibly drained and stretched you into blessings or drained and stretched you yet nothing to show for it.
You may have achieved your goals in 2025, had your dreams fulfilled and had every other thing worked out fine for you. You still have so much more to accomplish in 2026
Or probably your story in 2025 is looking like it has nothing in it or has nothing to show for it, do not despair.
Whatever your case may be in the year 2025 - good or bad- Today, I want to admonish you to just Breathe, Reset and Rebuild in 2026
God meets you here - at the threshold of new beginnings, fresh grace, renewed hope and opened doors of possibilities.
Whether you had your dreams fulfilled for last year or not, the fact that you are in 2026, you overcame challenges that brought you into this new year.
With your head held high, step into the new year and keep walking in it with renewed hope, fresh grace and confidence in God that this year is gonna be different from last year whether it was good or bad.
The beginning of a new year isn't just a change of date, but a divine invitation for renewals, fresh hopes and fresh starts.
When you breathe, reset and take steps towards rebuilding, clarity begins to set in, the weight is lifted, your spirit is lifted and you begin to settle into peace with yourself.
HOW TO BREATHE, RESET AND REBUILD IN 2026
1. First of all, take off from you all the anxieties and fears of what did not work out for you in 2025 - unfulfilled dreams, uncrushed goals, failed relationships, unanswered prayers etc. Take it all away from you and hand them over to God. Learn to travel light in 2026 without the baggage of 2025. You don't need all that.
And if 2025 turned out great for you as expected and you are filled with so much excitement of how it turned out, trust me, you don't want to remain there, do you? I believe you want to achieve much more for yourself this year. So set new goals and raise the bar for yourself this year. Don't dwell on the success of the past year.
Yes celebrate your past success but don't let them lead you to inaction in 2026. Rather, let your successes serve as motivation and inspiration to look forward to achieving much more this year. See 2026 as an opportunity to learn, grow and build on the success of the past year.
The Bible says in Proverbs 4:18 that "The path of the just is as a shinning light, that shines more and more unto the perfect day..."
You know what that means? It means despite the success of the past year, you don't need to remain static but to keep moving, keep growing keep improving and keep flourishing in life.
2. Secondly, If you want clarity and direction for your vision, goals and dreams for 2026, learn to step away from the noise of life. It is too loud out there. So make room for silence, for some quiet time to gain clarity of vision and how to go about realizing your goals for your vision.
Clarity rarely comes in a noisy place but in the silence. Silence may seem empty but it is full of power, answers, ideas and God's presence for divine direction. Learn to spend few minutes in the silence to gain clarity and direction for the year ahead.
3. Thirdly, You don't need to have a perfect year. Just align your goals, dreams and vision with your core values and you are good to go. Be grounded, authentic and in harmony with your core values. Let your daily actions, time and energy match your core beliefs and long time vision.
When your actions are in sync with your goals, dreams, vision or purpose, you flow in it naturally. You don't struggle to survive, you thrive and flourish chasing your goals.
4. And lastly but not the least, with every point given above, it's time to step forward taking action. Not with fear, not with hesitation, not being overwhelmed but with courage knowing that God goes before you making every crooked path straight for you in the cause of the year.
Don't push harder, just show up intentionally. Don't try to figure everything out all at once, just take it one step at a time and trust God for his directions. Don't try to force things. Just flow and that is why it is important to align your goals, dreams and vision with your core values as stated in tip 3.
While you acknowledge the reality of a busy, loud life, you don't need to wait for a perfect time. Create time to work on your goals. Make do with the resources at hand however little or small and start working towards your goals. These resources include time, finance, material, skills and even your mindset. Make do with you've got now and learn as go and grow.
So just Breath, Reset and Rebuild in 2026. You still have so much to live for, so much more to do and so much to accomplish for yourself.
So, dream new dreams, set new goals and run the race of this year better than last year. Take on the adventures this year presents or would present to you gracefully.
Your life is a book, 2026 presents a chapter of that book and everyday in 2026 represents a page for you to write in how you want the whole chapter (2026) to turn out for you.
So Breathe, Reset and Rebuild in 2026. Beautiful things are ahead of you.
